Director/Producer Kerri Gawryn has teamed up with BRL to produce a feature-length film which documents the trials, tribulations and achievements of a group of Oakland youth as they embark on a journey to unleash their hidden potential and learn to use Hip Hop as a catalyst for change and development. The film will reveal how youth find creative and positive ways to cope with adversity. It will offer a special glimpse into the world of adolescent youth as they discover their voice and find ways to connect with each other through the process of creating Hip Hop music. Production on this film began in January 2009 and a timeline for the Oakland premier has been set for January 2011.
